NADCA Government Affairs Activity

NADCA is the leading voice for the die casting industry in Washington, D.C. Top Issues

NADCA-members identified several policy areas as their top priorities:

Workforce Recruitment/Development   Trade    Regulatory Oversight - EPA, OSHA, NLRB, SEC    Energy and Raw Material Costs  Corporate Member Updates

Why Join NADCA’s Advocacy Efforts?

The strongest advocates for any association are the members themselves. Interest groups fighting against NADCA’s priorities typically have more financial resources available to wage their campaigns. Despite this disadvantage, the Association continues to make a difference in Washington largely through the active involvement of its members.

The Federal Government impacts every aspect of American businesses, providing both opportunities, and at times, obstacles for growing manufacturing in the U.S. NADCA represents the industry before the U.S. Congress, White House, including federal agencies such as the Departments of Energy and Defense and OSHA and the EPA.

Each year over the past decade, the Federal Government publishes on average 80,000 pages of new rules, regulations, and notices from the various agencies. NADCA reviews many of the regulations affecting the industry and provides official comment to regulator developing rules ranging from workplace safety to environmental to tariff and taxes.

A top priority for the industry remains working with all stakeholders to help recruit, train, and place workers. Manufacturers across the country report challenges recruiting and retaining employees and NADCA works directly with lawmakers on Capitol Hill and government grant writers to provide funding and resources for employers.
