Business Continuity Planning, or Disaster Recovery Planning, is preparing to deal with a company disaster (ie. fire, natural disaster, epidemic, electronic data loss). When a disaster hits a company the first couple days are crucial to ensuring the company survives. Business Continuity Planning anticipates likely disasters and plans what steps need to be taken to minimize down time and disruption to customers.
