PacDie Prepares for Growth with New Property Expansion
Pacific Die Casting (PacDie) has completed the purchase of the building it operates from and has acquired a vacant lot as the manufacturer prepares to double business in the next five years. The business is known for its nearly 50-year partnership supplying parts that get used on commercial trucks.
Since purchasing the company in 2020, owners Khiem Hoang and Elizabeth Gubrud-Howe have expanded PacDie's customer portfolio. "We've grown our business to include more light assembly, prototyping, and machining," explains Hoang who is responsible for engineering, design, and coordinating with customers to develop products. "And we're taking on more complex, high-precision jobs.”
The Vancouver, WA business employees approximately 50 people and supplies an array of sectors including automotive, industrial, medical, and consumer. Gubrud-Howe serves as President of PacDie and she says the acquisition means more than an investment to her. "It's a commitment to the enduring strength of American Manufacturing," she says. "The best parts in the world can and should be made right here at home."
Acquiring the property adjacent to PacDie's current operation opens up the potential for future growth, according to Gubrud-Howe, who says the company is poised to expand. "Our future is rooted in hard work and quality," she adds.
