Part 1: An Introduction To Ergonomics and Its Impact on Employees
Employees in die casting suffer from strains & sprains more than any other type of injury. This course module provides supervisors with an introduction to the ergonomics discipline and describes the types of work activities that can cause physical trauma and lead to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). These will be illustrated using examples from the die casting industry.

Successful die casters work to continuously improve productivity, quality, and safety. This course module describes how having a continuous focus on ergonomics as well helps to achieve these other management goals. A successful ergonomics plan hinges on contributions of various individuals within a company. This course module provides details on how these job roles can help to advance ergonomics initiatives.
