Revisions for this edition include: revised wording on the high integrity high pressure casting process to either be more clear or more inclusive; added information about precipitates that form in die casting alloys; corrected information on T6 and T7 heat treatments; updated tables to include generic alloy names; draft guidelines were revised; additional information included for GD&T in die casting; added information on ejector pins; separated simulation into two sections (lean manufacturing and simulation) to properly identify the content included; added a structural quality requirements section; revised wording for die ownership and maintenance practices; minor typographical errors have been corrected; and photographs have been updated throughout.
