A Manufacturing Engineering Student at Purdue University

 

Robert Marconi

Robert Marconi is attending Purdue University, where he is majoring in mechanical engineering. His internship was with RCM Industries – Aallied Die Casting Co. of Illinois, where he was given a variety of assignments, including the design and redesign of gating and runner systems, part and runner modeling and aluminum flow simulation. He also assisted with other engineering tasks, such as CNC fixture design, aluminum alloy selection and die cast defect troubleshooting. This was Marconi’s third internship with RCM. He said his past few summers of work at RCM have been pivotal in his development as an engineer and that his experiences through the internships have given him an opportunity to not only learn, but also do.
