This two part book is intended to familiarize the reader with the die casting process by presenting the basics of die casting. It provides a brief history of die casting and information on the types of machines used to die cast various die casting alloys; die design; the fundamentals of die casting; basic process steps; die casting quality; safety; and how die casting compares to other processes. This book contains everything the At-Home and In-Plant versions do with the exception of the objectives and practice reviews, which are set up for self-study.
