Getting to Know NADCA's Government Affairs Committee

NADCA’s Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is responsible for directing NADCA's government relations efforts in Washington, D.C. The committee identifies legislative and regulatory priority issues, as well as recommends policy and projects that will support the die casting industry and its interests. The GAC also sponsors NADCA’s annual Washington Briefing and is developing a new comprehensive grassroots program.

The commitment, focus and relevance of the GAC lie in the roles its members play within the trade association and NADCA’s government relations efforts. The GAC members are truly dedicated to serving the needs of this industry and ensuring its views are raised to the highest level through a strong federal advocacy program. At least six of the current members of the GAC have served the industry as president or chairman of the board of NADCA or one of its precursor organizations, American Die Casting Institute (ADCI) and the Society of Die Casting Engineers. In addition, nine members of the GAC currently serve on the NADCA Board of Directors, with several other committee members having previously served as well.

NADCA members are encouraged to become more familiar with the GAC. Members of the GAC provide a valuable resource for die casters to learn more about the key issues facing the industry and NADCA’s efforts to address them. And, likewise, the NADCA membership can provide valuable input to assist the GAC in its determination of the priority issues and management of the federal affairs program.

To follow is a list of the GAC members, including some general information to help you become more familiar with them.
