Based on the guidelines of the
certification program, which were revised and announced in early 1998, NADCA Professional
Certification is only valid for three years. Certification needs to be maintained or
renewed in order to avoid expiration.
Are you one of many NADCA Certified professionals
who achieved Certification nearly 3 years ago? If so, your Certification will expire
soon
unless steps are taken to maintain it.
HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY CERTIFICATION?
Individuals must
provide proof of continuing education through attendance at NADCA courses, college
courses, adult education courses or technical sessions at the Congress & Exposition or
Chapter meetings.
Individuals must attend two courses or nine
technical sessions within three years.
Individuals are required to submit either a
certificate of satisfactory course completion or a receipt from the technical sessions,
which must include the attendees name, date of the meeting or course and the
technical content.
Individuals who are not members of NADCA will be
charged a $150 Certification Renewal fee. This fee will be waived for individuals
who have taken NADCA courses to maintain their Certification.
WHAT COURSES ARE AVAILABLE?
Since 1996, NADCA
has revised all but two of its courses. You may want to consider taking one of the revised
courses as a way to maintain your certification. The
Course Schedule is also available online.
DO I HAVE ANOTHER OPTION FOR CERTIFICATION?
You may also renew
your Certification by taking a re-certification exam. The fees for taking the
re-certification exam are $50 for members and $250 for non-members (includes exam and
renewal fee). The re-certification exams will also be available online at www.diecasting.org. If individuals
choose to take the test online, there is no charge, however, non-members will be charged
the $150 Certification Renewal fee.
