Policies

1. Technical papers submitted to NADCA are received with the understanding that they are to be judged for acceptability, for verbal presentation and/or for publication in NADCA TRANSACTIONS. It is further understood that accepted papers may be published in Die Casting Engineer magazine or other publications of the Association at NADCA’s discretion.

2. In general, review and acceptance of papers shall be governed by the following criteria:

a. The paper is of sufficient general interest.

b. It contributes to information and/or knowledge of the subject.

c. It is original.

d. It is written in a clear and concise manner.

e. Accompanying pictures, drawings and graphs are accurate and legible.

f. Sufficient data or information is included to substantiate conclusions.

g. It represents a new technique, process or idea.

h. The paper has not been previously published in any form, anywhere. This affects acceptance of the paper for presentation at any convention and inclusion in NADCA’s permanent records.

i. The text, tables and artwork are free of commercialism such as trade names, company names and logos.

3. Judgment of papers concerning acceptability for presentation and publication shall be the responsibility of the appropriate NADCA staff and/or Committee, whose authority shall be final.

4. Congress papers submitted to NADCA shall immediately become the property of the Association, subject to international copyright laws. The author(s) may not submit such papers to any other publication or Association / Society for their use without written approval of NADCA or notification of the paper’s rejection by the Association.

NOTE: Papers that do not adhere to the guidelines above will be returned. NADCA is not responsible for the reproduction quality of digital artwork.
