Hot Work
Hot work includes any activity that produces an open flame, sparks, or heat. Common examples are welding, cutting, brazing, soldering, grinding, and using heat guns or torch-applied roofing equipment. In certain environments, even actions like using a cell phone near flammable liquids may be classified as hot work. It's important to note that hot work is not the same as working in high-temperature conditions—the defining factor is the presence of an ignition source.
