NADCA Government Affairs Activity
NADCA is the leading voice for the die casting industry in Washington, D.C. Policymakers, regulators, and lawmakers face decisions every day which affect manufacturers of all sizes and in every sector. NADCA works with members of Congress, senior agency officials and the White House to ensure die casters are represented when Washington takes action.
In the Annual NADCA Government Affairs Survey, members identified several policy areas as their top priorities:
EPA + OSHA Awareness Update
- Regulatory Oversight - EPA, OSHA, NLRB, SEC
- Energy and Raw Material Costs
- Tax Policy
- Workforce Recruitment/Development
As an added service to its members and reflecting the industry’s top priorities, NADCA provides an added focus on select agencies through the OSHA + EPA Awareness Update.
NADCA hosts regular webinars to help guide its members through the maze of regulatory compliance. Whether an update on the SEC Conflict Minerals Rule or the latest from OSHA, NADCA is a top resource for all manufacturers. Click here to view the latest Webinars on the top issues facing the industry.
Becoming More Involved
The strongest advocates for any association are the members themselves. Interest groups fighting against NADCA’s priorities typically have more financial resources available to wage their campaigns. Despite this disadvantage, the Association continues to make a difference in Washington largely through the active involvement of its members. Please visit the Resources section for more information on inviting a member of Congress to your plant and how to become more involved, especially in this critical election year.
The annual North American Die Casting Association Annual Government Affairs Washington, D.C. Briefing is a great opportunity for some members to travel to the nation’s capital and directly lobby their Senators, Representatives, and senior agency officials. In June 2017, NADCA members held roughly 100 meetings with members of Congress and their staff. Attendees received a briefing on recent activities from NADCA’s Washington, D.C. government affairs team and also heard from speakers as part of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Manufacturing Summit coinciding with the NADCA event.
