Take a Detailed Dive into the Various Methods of Process Control

It is important to know what type of control method is applicable to each of the die casting machine/die/process systems. NADCA has created a three level approach to addressing process control. This series is broken down by beginner, intermediate and advanced courses suitable for people with varying levels of knowledge in this area.

Part 5: Advanced Approach to Process Control 2 - This final webinar brings it all together. It covers planning a trial for both parameters that are changed and variables that are measured. It goes through a DoE approach to show the power of the method. Examples are given of real trials that enabled a very defined set process parameters to be reached. This impacted strongly on achieving an operating window that enabled a stable, low reject production of difficult parts. Using examples from real life trials should assist the die caster to apply these methods in their own plant.
