JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

-Evaluation of existing suppliers (delivery, quality, cost, continuous improvement, etc.)

-Identify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans

-Supplier selection of new sources

-Developing and maintain global sourcing strategy

-Role is part of Procurement on the Supply Chain team

-No direct reports

-Position involves management of commodities above, and related suppliers

-Position reports to the Division Sourcing and Procurement Manager


QUALIFICATION SUMMARY

-Minimum of 5-7 years purchasing experience, including procurement of die castings

-4 year college degree in Supply Chain Management, or Engineering

-APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, CPM) preferred

-Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices/terms
