Energy in Die Casting

Description:
Die casting is a very energy intensive manufacturing process. Energy costs account for 5-7% of sales, but many die casters do not monitor energy past monthly utility statements. This course discusses the importance of measuring energy usage. When energy is measured it is easier to determine what improvements can be made to save the most energy and money. In addition, this course will provide information on equipment efficiency and best practices that can improve energy usage.
