Stroh Precision Die Casting LLC
We are pleased to announce that as of November, 9th a new Stroh company has been formed.
The name of the new company is Stroh Precision Die Casting L.L.C. As many of you already
know Stroh Die Casting Co., Inc. ceased all manufacturing operations on September 21,
2009. Although Stroh Die Casting Co., Inc. had a Milwaukee presence since 1904, and was
at its current location at 11123 W. Burleigh Street since 1955, the strategic plan for
several years was to close the operation for competitive reasons and transition to a
newer Stroh Controls facility in Mauston, Wisconsin. Outside investors have purchased
the assets of Stroh Controls as part of a strategic integration and have formed the new
company, which will continue operations at the current Mauston location at 1011 Veterans
Street. The Stroh family will retain an ownership interest in the new business. Andy
Stroh, Vice President, will continue to have a integral role in the management of the
business. Stroh Precision Die Casting will continue our 106-year history of producing
high quality zinc and aluminum die castings. The new company, which is ISO and Hub
Zone certified, will offer a complete portfolio of opportunities from part and tool
design to after cast value added services such as conventional and precision CNC
machining as well as surface finishes including chromate, paint, plating and component
sub-assembly. The new investors have earned a reputation of providing their customers
with high quality precision machined components made from castings, extrusions, forgings
and solids. Their modern, state of the art manufacturing operation is a certified
Minority business (MBE and SDB). The alliance between these two companies will present
customers with a wider range of options to ensure success on current and upcoming
projects. Please feel free to contact Andy Stroh at 414-491-5948 with any questions
regarding this announcement. We look forward to working with you!

Survey Indicates US Economic Growth Will Be Driven By Factories As Spending Slows
Bloomberg News (11/10, Chandra, Scheuble) reports, "Economic growth
in the U.S. will be stronger over coming quarters than previously anticipated as
manufacturing, business spending and exports pick up while consumers cool off, a monthly
economists' survey indicated." The "world's largest economy will expand at a 3 percent
annual rate in the last three months of the year, compared with the 2.4 percent
estimated last month, according to the median of 64 forecasts in the Bloomberg News
survey." Consumer spending, "after putting in its best performance in more than two
years in the third quarter, will cool in the last three months of the year and be slow
to recover, according to the survey taken from Nov. 2 to Nov.9." Businesses, on the
other hand, are "gearing up to purchase new equipment and rebuild inventories after
slashing stockpiles at a record pace earlier this year."
Wage & Benefit Survey
Information you need to succeed - that's what the Wage and Fringe
Benefit Survey is all about, and that's why it's one of NADCA's most
popular management information programs. This year, we will be enhancing
our analysis to provide a more detailed look at the nation's die casting
operations.
Here's what you'll get if you participate and purchase the final report:
* A detailed summary of wages and fringe benefits for direct labor
employees in die casting operations, both nationally and regionally.
* A complete listing of Wage Rates for fourteen (14) key, direct
labor employees - plus a full analysis of insurance coverage.
* A final report providing an executive summary, plus as much
detail as you need with annual trends and an in-depth analysis of the
results.
There is no other place to get this information about die casting
operations!
The 2009 Wage and Fringe Benefit Survey will be a valuable resource for
determining compensation standards, selecting fringe benefit plans and
insurance, labor negotiations, or just letting you know how your company
stacks up against your industry peers.
You can access the survey online at www.diecasting.org/survey/wb/
The deadline for submission is November 16, 2009
