The Supreme Court did not announce its ruling on the constitutional challenge of the individual mandate and Medicaid provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act enacted two years ago. As a result, we can expect a decision this Thursday, June 28. Following the announcement, the NAM will host a teleconference Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
Joe Trauger, Vice President, Human Resources Policy, and Christine Scullion, Director, Human Resources Policy, will provide an overview of the decision by the Supreme Court, what it could mean for manufacturers, changes to the healthcare system; and insights on what may be expected from the White House and Congress in response to the ruling. Following their presentation, there will be a question and answer period.
