• Data on machines was submitted by 83% of the 587 companies that participated in the survey
• Canadian and Mexican numbers were included due to the responses obtained from these countries.
• Similar data was collected in 1990, 1996, 1998, 2000, & 2002. The number of companies reporting varied.
• Percent comparisons have been made in order to normalize the year to year data.
• All of the data is actual and not estimated.
